New TSE regulation

As of February 3, 2016 a new rule will apply for the TSE (Transmissible Spongiform Encephalopathy) regulation.

This new amendment will remove the obligation for having a bi-lateral agreement between a European country and a non-EU country before starting to export (non-ruminant) processed animal proteins.

Instead, there will be some stringent requirements for the production of non-ruminant processed animal proteins. These requirements resemble the demands for processed animal proteins  for aqua feed (2013).
